I Wore Purple Today

I wore purple today. I thought it would bring out my eyes; Instead, it brought out my vexation.

It's not that I can blame the color itself. It was I who had done all the talking. 'Twas I who had been snookering about in things that ought not be snookered in.

To be vexed is a most unfortunate conundrum. Once you've fully established yourself as a full-time snookerer, there's little ease in getting out of it.

And so here, tonight, I resolve to terminate my snookering ways. When I arise tomorrow, I will be a new person, free to wear purple with all the elegance that I possess — and more.
